Offered is an original Victor Orthophonic Credenza Phonograph, circa 1926 thru 1928. Phonograph is in excellent working condition. This machine has the feature of an added 120-volt induction motor, which was an extra option at the time. Motor runs smoothly and quietly. Reproducer is made of pot metal, which was on all credenzas 1926 and later. Turntable felt is in very good condition; grille cloth is original but has a few small holes. This can easily be replaced with new cloth, if desired. Very slight finish wear along bottom edge of cabinet, but overall finish is very nice. Label on top of motor-board is marked 'Credenza X5266.' Also on back lower lid is marked 'Denton, Cottier, & Daniels Buffalo, New York.' Inner lid also has original Victrola label, Camden New Jersey. Original sales price of the Credenza was $275; the price was increased to $300 in January 1926. The Induction motor was available for and extra $35 at the time. Item is pick-up only; location is 45 minutes south of Wilkes-Barre, PA, 2 hours north of Philadelphia. Email question welcome.
