Added 9/12/07 Please be sure to see the last photo. Today I was researching other antiques and guess what I saw on the cover of the Antique Trader Price Guide for 2004. Yes, the same model as I have listed. Much to my amazement, t is no mention of the item in the book, just the cover! Victor model IV with an exceptional wooden horn . Everything is in great shape except that the spring and reproducer need a bit of attention. T is a great repair service (shenandoahrestoration dot com) that can fix these parts for around $250.00. Please check this site as it offers a wealth of information and links to related sites. Currently this item is 100% original. The base and horn are still the original finish in great condition. This wooden horn has great carved detail and is very rare. Base is approx 14 X 14 inches Horn is approx 21 1/2 inches in diameter and 22 inches long Shipping is $220.00 because the horn will be double boxed resulting in an outer box of approx 30 inches cubed. The base will be shipped in a second box. Pick up is available. Estimated value with $200 to $300 in repair is $3300 plus Revisions: I added 5 more photos today. I was informed by the owner of this unit that a new brass coupling that connects the regulator to the arm will be included in the auction. (no photo because it is in route from the owner of the above mentioned repair company) So the unit is still original and a replacement part included.
