Interesting 10th Hussars sword by Wheeler & Robinson Hanover Square, shown as working 1827-1830, but the blade has a crowned VR cipher; the curved blade is 32 inches in length and is etched on one side with the royal cipher, ROYAL X HUSSARS and scrolls, and on the other with a circlet inscribed THE PRINCE OF WALES'S OWN HUSSARS, and with X to the centre, above this the Three Feathers, and below PENINSULA & WATERLOO scrolls, the blade has a sharpened edge, it has a plain gilt cross guard and ivory grips, the polished steel scabbard is a replacement..
