14K Gold, Enamel, & Seed Pearl Victorian Brooch Up for auction is a unique 14k yellow gold, matte finish black enamel, and seed pearl Victorian brooch circa 1870 - 1880. Brooch measures 32.0mm in length (approx 1 1/4"), 17.5mm in width, and 2.8mm in thickness. This piece features a pretty open radial design done in black enamel. Accented at the center by one half-drilled 4.0mm natural seed pearl, and 9 1.8mm seed pearls along the outer edges. In good condition apart from a small section of damage/chip to the enamel on one arm. Hinged pin with fold over clasp, and integrated bale allowing it to be worn as a pendant. Weighs 4.4 grams. Stamped 14K for 14k gold, and the maker's mark for Carter Gough & Company out of Newark, New Jersey. A great deal on a fine piece of period jewelry. , we have only satisfied customers.
