A Stunning Victorian 18ct Gold Ring set with Five Fraduated Turquoise Cabochons UK Ring Size 'J 1/2', or US Ring Size '5' A fine example of an 18ct Solid Gold Ring from the Victorian period dating to around 1875, which is set with five graduated Turquoise cabochons (Turquoise was one of the Victorians favourite gemstones and was believed to have a number of properties i.e. I f given a Turquoise by a loving friend, that stone would protect the wearer from negative energy and bring good fortune. Turquoise was also the symbol of friendship and it was believed that it would also bring peace to the home). This stunning ring has a Turquoise set mount that is approx' 2cms long, with the largest Cabochon measuring approx' 7mm by approx' 4mm and the smallest cabochons measuring approx' 5mm by approx' 3mm. It is sized as UK Ring Size 'J 1/2', or US Ring Size '5' and has simple engraved decoration on tapered bifurcated shoulders leading to a plain band. Typical of the period the ring is unmarked but it has been tested and is guaranteed to be made from solid 18ct Gold (please seethe detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of theitem's description).
