An early Victorian 9ct rose gold cased (tested) fob seal, with a hand engraved bloodstone matrix, portraying the bust of one of the classical Greek scholars? The matrix is in very good condition, with the engraving being crisp, clear and well defined, the face still displays a highly polished finish, with only a few light scuffs or scratches and no other visible damage. The mount is also in very good condition with the gold casing remaining intact apart from three small locations at one side of the grip which has base metal showing, this apart there is no further damage.
