An American Victorian Hand-Blown and Acid Etched Glass Cheese or Butter Keeper, Ca. 1880's. Highly desirable Aesthetic Design incorporating Herons (Cranes/Egrets), stylized Bamboo, Cherry blossoms, leaves and vines etc. The Dome shape appears to be hand-blown with a rolled bottom edge and a cut and polished knob finial. Can be used on a round porcelain (plate/dish), glass, marble or wood base. Height 6.50" Bottom Diameter 7.50" Condition is good with no chips or cracks. Minor expected wear with a few scratches.
