Up for bids is an incredible old castor from a Cape cod estate. It is marked Barbour Bros, Quadruple plate. The detail is very fine. The overall height is about 11". The coin dot glass insert is original, and about 4.25" in height. It is in excellent condition, no cracks or repairs. T are a couple of flea bite nicks to the inside of the polished top rim which are most likely from the polishing process. Mentioned only for accuracy's sake, they are NOT significant. Includes the original tongs. A truly wonderful find. Thanks for looking.
