Antique Victorian Meerschaum pipe with carving of a woman wearing a brimmed hat and holding either an instrument (or something else unidentifiable to me). She is straddling the pipe in a not so ladylike manner for the late 1890's when this pipe was probably carved, so this is possibly a portrait of a street musician or even a Lady of the Night. Nicely colored and although used, it is very clean and was well tended in its day. She is 3.75" x 2.25" x 1" wide. No case. Amber stem is broken off inside the draw hole. She is missing part of her front foot, although I didn't even notice this until I was taking detail photos. The eyes are just dark sockets so I don't know if the carver couldn't carve eyes, or if this may have had stones there when first made. First Class postage will be in a bubble envelope and NOT insured. Priority is recommended, as it is boxed and comes with free insurance up to $50. If you need more, just let me know. I will have a series of antique mostly Meerschaum pipes listed this week. Please take a look. I can combine shipping costs if payment is made for all wins at one time.
