THIS AUCTION IS FOR AN ABSOLUTELY EXQUISITE!! Antique PRE-BAN AFRICAN Elephant IVORY NECKLACE!! This AMAZING necklace has been hand carved from JAPAN around the late 1800's or early 1900's. I have had this necklace in my own personal collection for a long time. One of my first pieces of Ivory Jewelry. I had to have it! the Monkey was so adorable and with such magnificent carving. you can even see inside of his little ears. The snail is so Cute at the bottom as well. This Dance Card is carved on both sides!! The thin sheets of Ivory are in EXCELLENT condition!! This Miniature Dance Card Measures 1 5/8" Wide and 1 7/8" TALL. No Warping!! Stays closed when worn. The IVORY Necklace is LONG and measures 30"!! double in parts!! T is also a 2 1/4" drop of beads that the DANCE CARD is suspended From. The Round Ivory Beads range in size from 1/2" to 1/8" in Diameter. This SUBERB MEJI PERIOD DANCE CARD necklace is in EXCELLENT CONDITION!! The Barrel clasp is newer and is Bone the Rest of the necklace
