You are bidding on a very nice high relief Habille cameo that features the Goddess Flora. It is carved from three layers of a thicker shell with wonderful detail and measures approx. 1 5/8”x 1 1/4”, which is a bigger size suitable for a brooch. I have added a coin in one picture so you can gauge the size. The finely carved figure is extremely detailed and embellished with a necklace that has a genuine old cut diamond set in the pendant. I did not test the necklace wire and am assuming it is a precious metal, most likely silver. The stone is secure in its setting and the setting & necklace are secure to the shell. The base shell shows few stress lines (see pictures) and is very stable. This is a beautiful cameo and I consider it to be in good used condition. This is a used vintage item that may need additional cleaning or polishing. Please ask any questions at least 24 hours before the auction ends. Payment due within 3 days of auction end.
