A simply wonderful Victorian Chatelaine Scent Bottle. This lovely bottle is egg shaped Venetian Art Glass. The embossed brass hinged lid has a cork stopper with a black glass bead top. The bottle hangs from a brass chain with a finger ring. I have not cleaned the brass and the inside of the lid shows a green patina. The bottle is in excellent condition. As to be expected with a bottle from the 1800's it does have some slight crazing and some very tiny air bubbles that were made into the glass. The crazing can best be seen in the oval photo of the back side of the bottle. This is very hard to see and must be closely inspected to notice, but I do want prospective buyers to know the exact condition, as this fantastic piece will bring the attention of serious collectors. This is not a reproduction. This is an antique, circa late 1800's. The egg shape glass is a white base with swirls of black, amber and orange glass enhanced with silver metallic swirls. The glass egg measures 1 ¾" by 1 ¼". The total length of the bottle from the bottom to the top of the lid when closed is 2 ¼". Included with the bottle is a velvet bag that has a pull string closure. I am not sure if this came originally with the bottle; however it is very old and was included with the bottle when I acquired it many years ago. Please contact me with any questions you
