Fantastic violets adorn this bright white shiny glaze interior with gold rimmed both cup and saucer. As you may know, a fter World War II, the Polish government nationalized the Altwasser factory and it became a branch of C. M. Hutschenreuther Porcelain Company that started in Hohenberg, Bavaria, Germany. For these reasons, one can be fairly certain these collectibles date between the years of 1875-1918. In Germany the under glaze mark of this eagle monogram and âe~C.Tâe(tm) initials was patented in the Reichswarenzeichenregister (RWZR) on October 18, 1875 to protect the factory against imitations of their wares. It continued into the early 1900s. This cup and saucer is marked CT Altwasser in Green with the Eagle and Germany above, this mark, which includes the scepter and orb, which was used between 1925 and 1932 The saucer measures 5 1⁄2âe in diameter and the cup is 4âe in diameter and stands 2âe tall in excellent antique condition, no chips, scratches, cracks, or repairs.
