Bagatelle game Similar to snooker and billiards. This is a great old victorian bagatelle game which include a set of 9 balls, folding cabinet, balls, base, 5th leg, and side cover. The wood is either cherry or mahogany but i am not a wood expert. the hinges and mounts are brass. or brass colored.. the screw is not brass. It is the complete game minus rules and cues (which can be purchased from a dealer in the UK that specializes in this sort of victorian game). I will letyou know who later if you purchase the piece.. this way you can have all the pieces to play it if you choose. The ball cups do have a few rough edges and the game could probably use a bit of restoration.. but it is in playable condition and minus the cues and rules is complete. you get one white ball, one black baa, and 7 red balls (this is a game version that I do not have info on but you can probably research) the game is in great shape. no tears in the felt, no broken wood 9that I can see) just some scuffs and dings... the game is about 36 inches folded... and about 7 feet opened. The base cabinet, side cover, and screw mount 5th leg store inside and the whole thing can be used as a coffee table if you choose. Shipping costs will be based on actual price of USPS, Fed Ex Ground, UPS, or any other shipping service - unless the piece is picked up personally. This is a large piece and is quite heavy and includes multiple components. Shipping costs will be actual price incurred not an estimated price. I can only estimate costs at this time as the piece is not packed and ready for shipping. I expect that the postoffice will incur a $80 large package fee on top of the actual cost and the best shipping rate will be found through UPS or Fedex. Once a bid is placed I will gladly check for shipping costs... otherwise cost will be determined once the auction is over and the item can be packed and brought to fed ex or UPS. I am dealing with to many interviews, doctors, contractors, and other things to deal with this stuff until I know that someone is interested in the piece. I will gladly send more pictures if they are requested or needed. For 200-300 years Bagatelle was played on large slate-bed tables of a similar size to Snooker or Billiards tables. This Old English Bagatelle can still be found as a rare pub game in a couple of English towns. By the 1880s, bagatelle was hugely popular and people began to experiment with new ideas which eventually led to the well-known pin bagatelle or parlour bagatelle still played by children today.
