A very old pine victorian blanket box . As its been around for a very long time, it has lots of marks, small bows , splits, lots of wood worm holes etc, I think it all adds charm. This is what gives each piece is uniqueness. Good sturdy box. Has a lock and has a key but does not have the upper latch anymore. These latches pop up on ebay from time to time so it could be locked again if you got one. Handles are in good working order and hold half way up so do not trap fingers when moving it . Both original hinges are still present long blacksmith type Has a candle box inside with a lid. It was in a barn for many many years and does have a lot of woodworm holes. It has been treaded several weeks ago for this. For your own piece of mind you may want to treat again. The front has some large holes which I'm hoping you can see in the pictures As it does have lots of marks if you like the old lived in look this is one for you. Or you could sand it down and restore, it has no varnish only a wax finish. I have tried to capture some of the marks in the pictures, but its difficult they do not always show up.
