Hello, I am selling my much loved victorian style book case. It is in fantastic condition with working top and bottom bolts to the glazed doors as well as a working lock and key. Now surplus to my requirements and looking for a good home. I am certain it is a hardwood and I think the wood is mahogany. Certainly the weight, grain, lustre and quality of it suggests it would be and it was sold to me as mahogany. The glazed doors are all in great shape with no slack or looseness to them. The glass is all 100% with no cracks or splits or even loose panes. The doors fit flush with the case surround and have no squeaks or rattles. There are no large dings or marks on any of the faces of the piece, including the top, which is in great shape. The feet are also in good the same excellent condition as the rest of the piece. Wear and tear is minimal for it's age and it is in great condition. I am pretty sure this is a pre WW2 copy of a victorian item, so not an original victorian piece but it is of the highest quality I have seen which is why I bought it a few years ago.
