I have for sale a wonderful Victorian chandelier straight from a very old home in Old Forge, New York. If you are restoring a Victorian home and want fixtures from that period these are a find. I have two of these and they are identical. I decided to list them separately in case a buyer needed only one. These have the original finish and have not been restored. I believe they are completely brass as they do not attract a magnet. The globes are all original and are in mint condition. They are very heavy, weighing 2lbs. 2oz. each and are 5" in diameter. They are marked "Jefferson 2655" and "Pat Jan 16, 1912". They are nice old glass with straw marks and bubbles. They are hobnail (with facets) on the top and the bottom looks like prisms all in a circle. I have looked them over and do not see a chip, crack or anything to spoil their beauty. They are in pristine condition which is amazing for almost 100 years old. The chandelier is wired and I am sure it works but some of the wiring is very old and should be replaced. The chandelier hangs 26" from the ceiling to the bottom of the globes. Of course that measurement can be extended by adding additional chain. T is also a link of chain that can be removed should you want to shorten it. The globes hang in a 16" square. The globes are 10" high including the fixture into which they are screwed. Those four parts each have a small dent w the brass holder meets the arm. They cannot be seen however. The fixture that fits into the ceiling has a very small dent also. The parts are all t to be mounted into the ceiling. The individual lights each have pull chains which is typical but they can be removed. The brass is not cleaned or shined. I will leave that to the buyer. Please keep in mind before you bid that this is a very heavy chandelier. The globes alone weigh almost 10 lbs. They will have to be very well packed to assure that they do not arrive broken. I will pack and weigh them so your shipping will be actual and I will add $2. to cover the cost of bubblewrap and other packing items.
