Really attractive rosewood work or sewing table of the early Victorian / late WilliamIV period, beautifully turned and carved stem in solid rosewood the legs are shaped as animal legs complete with hoof feet this really is top quality. The top box has a lift up lid with sarcophagus shape and gadrooned edge and a drawer below it has a working lock and I have the key.The rosewood has a superb colour and figuring to the grain it is inlaid with brass around the top and also inlaid with brass letters in the top which look like A C . There is a mirror set into the inside of the lid and a quadrant type catch to hold the lid open a really superb item that was obviously a one off made for someone special and must have been extremely expensive when new.
