This listing is for a lovely Victorian Period bride's basket with an unusual decorated cased glass bowl in its fitted silver plated stand. The bowl measures 7 3/4" in diameter and is 4 1/8" high and the stand measures 12 1/4" high and 9 5/8" wide. The bowl has a shaped base that fits correctly into the recessed base and is original to the stand.

The cased glass bowl has a crimped upper edge and the design is a modified diamond quilted mother of pearl design with an open center and the points not touching in almost a snowflake design. The color is a soft aqua blue with an ivory colored glass interior. The bowl is decorated with an enameled design of a bird sitting on a branch with small enameled flowers. The bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.

The silver plated stand is in good condition although the base is slightly "out of round", however, I think this could easily be repaired. The base is marked with a circle stamp reading "Warranted Triple Plate" and has an end to end "S" in the center. The silver plating on the stand is in good condition although it needs a good polish.
