Delicate and beautifully decorated with Coralene this vase is a true example of Victorian Period blown glass.
The glass is a lovely shade of creamy butter and decorated with a floral pattern using the Coralene process. Coralene is actually small beads of ground colored glass and artistic skill was necessary to create patterns on the hot blown glass. Floral spray with an Oriental influence has petals of glittery shades of gold glass. It is fascinating the way the light shimmers from the Coralene. Umber colored brush strokes represent the branch and greenery of the pattern. Vase is blown with collared throat and an undulating ruffled rim for a soft draping effect. Measures 6.5 inches high and is rated to be in very good condition with some minimal Coralene loss on one petal. Indented pontil mark.
