Antique Victorian Bristol Glass Vase, Cased Pink, hand blown with pontil No Reserve Up for sale in this auction is an antique Bristol Glass vase. It is about 11 inches tall and is made of thin cased pink and white glass with enamel floral decoration. It has a simple scalloped lip and a rough pontil. It is translucent, and has an opalescent fire glow when you look through the glass. It was likely made in the 1890s, but production periods of this type of glass covers a wider period. It has no cracks chips or repairs, but it has an as made defect of a speck of debris or sand (<1mm) on the lip that makes a little bump and mm long stressline (see magnified detail). This was once covered with gold paint along the top which has now largely worn off. Some of the decoration is worn off, and inside the bottom and sides is some dirt which would need to be soaked and scrubbed with a long bottle brush. This is an attractive piece and would nice for display or use. Terms: We are happy to accept checks or money orders, as well as credit cards and PayPal. Payments must be received from the high bidder within 10 days of auction close, 14 days for international. We will ship within two business days upon receipt of payment by money order (only $0.85 at any post office) or personal checks under $50 with good ebay rating. Other checks, including e-checks, must clear before shipping. For credit cards, use PayPal. Massachusetts's residents pay 5% sales tax. All items worth more than $5 are generally shipped with USPS delivery confirmation tracking, which records the date and time a package is dropped at your mail box. We generally leave it up to the buyer as to whether or not they want to purchase insurance. Please note that USPS insurance covers only the purchase price, not shipping; however, if an item arrives broken, we will cover shipping costs not covered by the USPS insurance at our expense. If you live in an area w t is the possibility that someone could steal a larger package left outdoors or in a common area of an apartment complex, please note that if the USPS scans as "delivered" a parcel left in an unsecured location, and it is stolen, they will not honor insurance claims for the loss of such "scanned as delivered" items, nor will we. Either leave a note to your carrier not leave packages in the open, or request signature verification of delivery (free with insurance over $100, otherwise $1.30). This means if you are not home, a note will be left in your box stating a delivery was attempted, and that you can stop by your local post office to pick up your merchandise. Domestic Shipping Notes: Note the USPS "tracking" numbers do not give shipment tracking status for priority mail or first class mail; the service only confirms package delivery. Parcel Post shipments to New England have a 2-3 transit time, parcel post shipments to the West Coast generally have a 9 day transit time. International buyers: USPS "first class international" (the name of the new service replacing "air letter post" is good for packages up to 4 pounds, and is the cheapest international shipping option, but items cannot be insured. Delivery time for this service is highly variable, but averages 10 days or less, but on rare occasions can take weeks, depending on the postal service and customs department in your country. If you want insurance, request "priority mail international", especially if mail rifling is a potential problem in your country. We keep receipts and use customs tracking numbers for all foreign shipments (and these numbers can be looked up at as proof of shipment), and we can provide this info to you. You can also request a certificate of mailing for an additional $1.05. Please click on the icon next to Inkspot-Antiques above for other tips for International buyers. Combined Shipping: We always try to offer reduced combined shipping on multiple auction wins. You should automatically receive a discounted shipping rate if you pay for two or more items at the...
