WELCOME Thank you for visiting! Someone had a penchant for vices, it would seem from this wonderful candidate for a snuffbox collection. This one is from Victorian England, and is in the form of a lady's button-up shoe. It is very precisely carved from fruitwood (pear or cherry ?), with moderate stacked heels and four buttons. The top is made of a cream-colored material and is missing the dipper for the snuff, the only item to note. The soles are made of a cream-colored material and t is a small window in the instep of the sole. Behind the glass are three dice, so this obsiously belonged to some bad boy who liked the ladies, played expensive games and indulged in the vice of tobacco. The elaborate lady's boot is about four inches long and two and one-quarter inches tall. A fantastic acquisition for your collection.
