Likely Bohemian or Silesia. Meets all of the criteria for hand-cut Cameo of the period between 1880 and 1900: sharp, well-defined edges on all the cut patterns; smooth background surrounding the patterns with slight pebbliness near the base; the available colors of the time, cobalt and white (the sandwich is very thick, purest white on cobalt on opal). Top blown with the rim ground and polished so the layers show well. Stands a stately 13 inches tall. Footed.
