This auction features a Cased Victorian Post-Mortem Sixth Plate Daguerreotype Photograph. This hand tinted photograph depicts a full view of a deceased woman. With the photograph was an old piece of paper, which read; "Anna Isadora Sawyer wife of Joseph Wood Sawyer Anna born in England 1829 moved to Boston via Dover, N.H. Died 1862. Buried Woodlawn Cemetery, Wharlestown. Picture taken before funeral service." The photograph has remained in excellent condition, no damage. The photograph is sealed in the original ornate thermoplastic case, which is also in excellent condition. No chips, cracks or damage. Questions are welcome.
