THIS IS A REALLY NICE OLD GLOVE HOLDER FOR EITHER A BELT, PURSE OR CHATELAINE. IT IS SILVER METAL UNSIGNED AS TO METAL CONTENT. IT COULD BE STERLING OR LOW GRADE SILVER--I JUST DONT KNOW. IT DOES SAY PAT PENDING ON THE ONE BACK OF THE CLIP. T ARE TWO CHAINS SUSPENDED FROM A CENTER PIECE. ALL HAVE PINCH STYLE CLIPS FOR ATTACHING THEM TO THE OBECTS AND THE WEARER. EACH CHAIN IS 6" LONG FROM CENTER CLIP. SIMILAR IN STYLE TO A SWEATER GUARD THIS ITEM HELD YOUR GLOVES IN PLACE WHEN YOU WERE NOT WEARING THEM. GREAT PIECE OF HISTORY! PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING. PAYMENT IS TO BE MADE WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTION END. THANKS FOR LOOKING CAT - HAVEN =^..^=
