This book is a German prayer book titled "Gott Mein einziges Verlangen". 1ur Katholische Christen von J. Hubinger . Mit bischoflicher Approbation. Verlag von Emanuel Fischer in Hohenmauth. It is bound in superb ivory effect fine clasped binding, with exquisite decoration to the centre of the front board, and the decoration/design consists of flowers and a cross. The page fore edges are decorated in gilt when the book is closed. There is no year of printing present, but the book is definitely late Victorian, and there is an ink ownership inscription dated 1905. Containing almost 400 pages, with dimensions to the book of 4.5" x 3.3" x 1.2" thick, and it weighs 230g unpacked. The condition is excellent, and this includes both the binding and the contents, which are both in pristine order. The binding is faultless, with no damage or blemishes to mention whatsoever, with both boards firmly attached with no splitting or weakness to inner or outer hinges, and gilt decoration to front board is still bright and prominent. The contents are splotless throughout, with no foxing, marking, loss or damage whatsoever, and the text block is firm and secure with no missing, detached or loose pages.
