I am offering this lovely victorian cranberry art glass pickle castor in its original fancy Rogers & Bro. silverplated frame. It is marked on the bottom in a circle with a raised mark that reads ROGERS & BRO. TRIPLEPLATE 105 with a hand over lightening bolts. This frame is slightly bent. It has two birds and lots of elaborate engraving. The original tongs are still with this piece and hanging on the side. They are great. T are "hands holding stars" to grip the pickles. They are tarnished, but in great condition. The cranberry insert is decorated with enameled flowers covering all sides of the cylinder insert. The glass is polished on the top edge. This piece is in wonderful condition. The glass insert has no damage or repairs. The silverplate frame has some wear to the silverplate and the wings of the birds are a little bent, but nothing serious. T is some pitting to the inside of the base of the frame, w the insert sits. It, too, is minor. The glass insert measure 4 1/4" tall and 3 3/8" in diameter. This piece was recently purchased from an old collection of victorian glass. Neat to find original pieces like this today. Thanks for your interest.
