Ebay a little boring lately? Didn't get what you REALLY wanted for Christmas?? ...... OR just looking for that perfect addition to your collection ? ...... Well you've stopped by the right place! Offered for auction is BEAUTIFUL Civil War Era Gutta Percha dag / ambrotype case that holds 4 photos, this is a larger than normal case with 4 slots. The subject matter is lovely.... fronds, flowers and foliage, along with a large dog and a mother and baby. The case is in very good vintage condition with a small chip, very small on one edge, and slight wear on one corner, otherwise almost perfect! Hinges are nice and tight, closes neatly. This unusual case measures 6 1/4" x 3 7/8" x 1" thick. This beautiful case displays nicely. T are 2 photos inside, the one of the young man is slightly tinted, the other .... a mother with 2 young children is a tintype / tin type ... I think and slightly faded or mirror like.... not sure what the term would be. Looking for the perfect accent piece for your antique photos or desk top? Look no further !
