antique vacant / engaged toilet door lock victorian or edwardian at the latest, solid brass and requiring a polish, face size 3 1/8 inches x 2 v1/2 inches, will fit door hung on left or right sliding the bolt will select the vacant or engaged positions. it has a facility on the front that can enable the lock to be opened from the outside and may have had a specific tool designed for the job but it will operate with a small slot type screwdriver though it does work with a clock key i own but i need it so sorry. i will tape all the section together when posting it becomes a solid unit when assembled / fitted just four screws to each side the door will need to have a horizontal slot removed of about 1 inch x 1/2 an inch. it did have a sprung steel strip inside to keep the vacant / engaged section pressed down but still operates well just by gravity see pic three the spring was located on the centre piece in the pic.it does not have the keeper for the bolt to slide into but will work with a simple hole in the frame. will post 2nd class recorded via royal mail. item weight without any packaging 310g. happy to answer any questions. UK POSTAGE AND UK BIDS ONLY.
