Victorian era ormolu mounted egg shaped jewelry casket or jewelry box. Decorated with lovely, heavily painted floral decoration. I believe it is enamel. The glass egg is a soft yellow, and it's almost like a frosted glass in appearance. The ormolu mounting is in very nice condition and t are not bends or damages to the metal. T is one small manufacturing flaw in the yellow area. It is on the front, towards the right, next to the furthest piece of gold flower stem. It's like a little scrape or something. Hinge works great. Nice and tight. All metal is in good condition. T are no chips, cracks or repairs to this piece. Measures 5 1/4" tall, by about 3 1/4" across the egg and 4 1/4" across the bottom of the mounting. Please email any questions. Payment is by money order, cashier's check or personal check. Possible hold of up to 10 days on personal checks, depending on the amount.
