Up for this no reserve listing is an antique silvertone Victorian metal tube purse, accented with painted enamel accents of pansies with Victorian paste or rhinestone glass centers. This incredible item measures a little over 11 inches in length and 1 1/2" in diameter. The handcrafted glass bead handle has a hang length from the top to the purse of 10" off the shoulder (around 20" of beads). The tube has enamel accents of greenery and pansy design around the exterior. The tube splits with a gentle twist on one end to reveal the inside storage area. T is one rhinestone missing from one of the double floral settings, but the original stone was in the case and is included. The silvertone finish is in excellent condition with a whole lot of crevice patina. It comes with the original velvet and satin lined black case with two metal buckles and a silvertone metal plate on the top of the case. The beaded handle is also in excellent condition with no (or miniscule) chips out of the glass that I could see. The metal is NOT sterling - it was tested and did not pass. It may be silverplate. Unmarked, age and origins unknown. Fantastic collector piece and a one-of-a-kind period item!!
