With raised capital lettering GARIBALDI with gilt highlights (rubbed). This figure is listed in "Staffordshire Potrait Figures of the Victorian Era" by P. D. Gordon Pugh, plate 98 , fig 286 where it is described as rare. Please note - I am selling this as a single figure although I am selling his companion figure in the following lot. I have have included 1 photo of both so you can see how they look as a pair. They are a pair but I am selling them seperately as I feel that buyers may only want one or the other but if a buyer buys both I will ship them as cheaply as possible. They are very heavy so have to go by courier. Dates circa 1864. Condition- overall in very good condition, no cracks, chips or restoration just paint losses, mainly to the black (this is overglaze painting so is susceptible to the kind of wear)- see photos.
