Up for auction is a beautiful, functional Victorian Chatelaine pin made in Sterling Silver from the late 1800's. This item includes 5 functional accessories connected to the main pin by sterling silver chain. Details: - Sterling Silver - Pin and hook back - Pin is 3 1/4" wide - Total length is 9 1/4" - Two of the accessories bear the monogram CJ - Floral, Bee, spiderweb, and filigree motifs - In good vintage condition. Please see photos for details Accessories include: - Sterling silver and celluloid dance cards - Rouge compact - Perfume bottle - Flat hinged ornate case - Elgin compact with mirror A chatelaine, the predecessor of the woman's handbag, is a decorative belt hook or clasp worn at the waste with a series of chains suspended from it.
