Precious heirloom Victorian era gold fill locket. Cupid aims for your heart among twinkling recessed clear stone stars. Back side of locket engraved with initials so ornate they appear more decorative than legible. Hinged lid snaps open to reveal single compartment for photo with clear protective cover, gold fill rim inset to hold photo in place (marked " W.&S.B." followed by star mark) and old sepia tone photo of woman and girl. Back inside of locket lid has delicate paper covering. Photo is positioned such that when locket is worn, front lid opens away from chest of wearer, who is able to look directly down to photo without having to twist locket around to view photo. Attached to delicate 24" gold chain (12" doubled) with older style spring ring clasp marked 1/20 12KT On Sterling ". Locket measures just under 1 3/8" diameter. Photo image area measures 15/16" diameter.
