(PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR ADDITIONAL PHOTOS) Item: Victorian Etruscan Gilt Mourning Locket With Garnet Circa 1870s This is another beautiful antique Etruscan style Victorian locket! The Etruscan style granular work on this locket is amazing! Highly decorative and ornate! And YES the gilt finish is this bright, bright yellow gold!...as you can see in the top center part of the locket. T is a deep tarnish or patina on the outer edges and top of the locket. The stone is a rose cut garnet! The locket measures 1 & 3/4 inches high. This includes the decorative bale...The locket itself is 1 & 1/8 inches high. It is 7/8 of an inch wide. AND it is 5/8 of an inch THICK! The locket opens and closes perfectly! Both photo rims remain inside and one side has a photo? under glass. I am not really sure what is under the glass. The back of the locket has lost the gilt finish and appears as brass. It also has some dings on the back. This locket is unusual because of the finish and very hard to describe. Very beautiful though! A great Victorian locket!!!! In General: *Please note that the jewelry I sell is antique and in some cases shows wear to the finish. International goes USPS First Class Mail International and CANNOT be insured. So International customers you are buying at your on risk. I ship everything in boxes...no exceptions!
