This wonderful Victorian fairing trinket box measures 2 3/4" by 2 1/4" at its bottom and is 4" tall. It features a lovely young lady holding a hoop and her little dog is jumping through it. T is a mirror of foil behind her and they are atop a mantle of what appears to be a fireplace. The fireplace is flanked by 2 wonderful griffins. T is a very fine crack which appears to have happened during manufacturing other than that it is in good shape with some wear to the gold luster. It is more visible from the inside and barely from the outside. It would make a great addition to any fairing collection and a wonderful gift. This is from an estate of several thousand items, including hundreds of pieces of vintage jewelry, Native American artifacts, craftsman era objects, including tiles, as well as many other things of interest.
