The tapestry work is very unusual~a black woven type background~heavy fabric, with the raised velvet work!~~possibly applique~I'm not certain! in very good condition, showing only slight wear to the fabric, in just a few spots! I believe this must have had a brace on the bottom of the feet, as I can see old nail holes~and it is a bit on the wobbly side, all in all a darling piece of Victoriana, which would be a great decorator item. The wood is a walnut stain with a heavy grain, possibly oak~a few nicks in the finish, which would cover in old English polish.~I have never seen one quite like this, and I was a dealer for over 35 years~measures 17" L by 13 1/2" t by about 6" across. shipping in a padded ~protected box. see calculator~if you believe the calculator is off in the shipping amount~please email me so that I can verify the correct amount for you~once in a while it is totally bonkers! Ins . 1.65 for first 50. 2.30 up to 100. ...I will be happy to combine shipping to save you on the fees. Altho t are some things that just cannot be packed together due to the fragility of items. I pack like I want to receive it~I treasure all my items~and will take care to make sure they arrive safely. Please remember if you choose parcel post that shipping can take up to 10 business days to the East Coast~~I ship Tuesdays and Fridays~and if I have a large amount of sales I do ship on Wednesdays. Gas is so pricey, and in order to not charge a handling fee I have had to stop going every day. "NEVER A HANDLING FEE!" My Linens will be coming to you freshly laundered~I do not treat them ~but leave that to the buyer~~no musty smells~any holes or stains will be noted~95% of my linens are near mint condition~carefully stored away for many many years. Some pictures colors might not be accurate~depending on lighting that day~any questions~please just ask~I'm always close by! Once in a while I may list a linen piece that missed the laundry~should that be the case, I will let you know.
