***I am pleased to offer for your consideration this Pair of Victorian Signed FRANCE Shoe , belt sash Buckles. They date to the later part of the 1800's. The are two 2 pieces which can be worn so many ways . Pass a ribbon or a belt through it and wear it as a collar necklace, a bracelet or belt, use them as as a apir of Shoe Buckles. These ones are also rather large as they each measure 2" wide by 1 3/4" long. The buckles are made from what is referred to as Riveted CUT STEEL. The cut steel appliques are made to look like shimmery Marcasites. I have taken many pictures and you can see from the back views how they have riveted the pieces onto it. This pair is a great example of this form of art work and has lots of shimmer and shine. Condition on this set is fantastic, with the exception of one booboo. One of the buckles has the slip on the back to pass a ribbon through, the other one does not, besides that perfect. We will be listing several different styles and shapes of Cut steel, so please take a moment to take a peek, thank you. *** Please feel free to send in an offer.
