I TRUST TOO MUCH. THE BUYER NEVER PAID! SHE HAD ONE! FEEDBACK (WHICH OF COURSE I SHOULD HAVE READ). IT SAID SHE DOESN'T PAY. I'M SURPRISED THAT SHE STILL ON EBAY! SO, FOR CHRISTMAS, I'M MAKING THIS A 5 DAY AUCTION AND JUST REVISED IT FOR 2 REASONS, ONE - I'M MAKING IT NO RESERVE. TWO - TO DESCRIBE IT BETTER BELOW (IT'S GOOD - DON'T WORRY!) THIS LOCKET MEASURES ONE INCH, NOT INCLUDING THE LOOP. I HAVE THE MEASUREMENT TYPED IN BELOW - BUT TOO FAR BELOW IN THE DESCRIPTION. MY APOLOGIES TO ALL WHO HAVE ASKED ME THE SIZE. I'LL BE LESS WORDY NEXT TIME. SARALEE ANYTHING YOU SEE THAT DOES NOT APPEAR GOLD IS REFLECTION. ESPECIALLY THE UNUSUAL PLACEMENT OF THE CLASP! THE TINY YET PERFECTLY WORKING CLASP IS RIGHT BELOW THE DESIGN (THAT ENCIRCLES THE LOCKET) DIRECTLY BELOW THE LOOP. AsI say in many auctions, this locket was my grandmother's. She lived inManhattan and loved the NYC jewelry/antique districts. She'd write down information in pencil, if you can believe. She dated this locket 1900-1910. I am selling this and many other items because our family business took a sudden nose dive. Well, this is one heck of a locket. Frankly it appears older to me than my grandmother dated it, however, that's not fact - just my opinion. It is gold filled. Please take a look at the picture of it opened. You will see that t is also an intricate circular design inside the outer design! In case you didn't see above, the perfectly working tiny clasp (most definitely a huge selling point) is right below the fancy design (that encircles the locket) directly below the loop. I so hope you see it. In the pictures, it looks like a tiny bump when in fact it is the clasp . Re: the pictures, the front of the locket has the circle (for a monogram - but t is no monogram t in the middle. The back does not have a circle - now, you'll now know why the pictures look so similar. T are five 'TINY dings' on the back side of the locket. On the front, t is very, little noticable age wear that I originally used incorrect wording to describe. Nobody will see it!! I have revised the auction to clarify that. In my opinion, this piece is in terrific condition and anyone who loves old jewelry will adore it. I adore it. This wonderful piece (I think I should tone down my enthusiasm:) measures one inch, not including the loop. I so hope someone will treasure it for many years to come. I love answering questions.
