Very ornate Victorian clips made of a brass type metal and set with hand cut emerald paste. The design of the stylized floral type head which often represented the flares of the comet. I suspect these are comet clips due to the design, of which I have never seen another pair like. Haley's Comet brooches were made out of variety of precious or non-precious metals and stones. These are unmarked, prong set and are in good condition with just a bit of abrasion to a few of the paste upon very close inspection with a 10 x loop. Most likely English in origin, and circa 1900.
