Vintage Victorian Handmade QuiltMade and Signed By 12 Ladies Embroidered 74" x 67" This is a very old Victorian era handmade quilt that is heavily embroidered, and in the fan design. It was handmade by 12 ladies, who have all signed in embroidery t name or initials. Looks to be made from velvets, silks and wools. The back is a linen or muslin. The artwork on this is wonderful, and the detail is lovely. This quilt contains 72 fan panels, every one of them has embroidery work. is a list of the quilters. Some are names others are just the initial(s): Belle Mayy M. W. A. R.H. K.E.S. F. L. LuLu E. S. (the scrolled S is made into the pattern of flowers) This is very clean and well stored, however t is some wear issues due to age. Not too bad, but a few of the panels have material wear, some tears, holes, but still looks great on display and has plenty of charactor. Please ask questions prior to bidding.
