This is a gorgeous antique, Victorian Library/Parlor lamp with a beautiful original shade. The brass frame is 36âe long and embossed with a fleur de les and scroll motifs. The chain is a ladder chain. The brass smoke bell appears to be original. This beautiful hanging lamp has a clear, patterned glass, removable font. The original glass dome shade is mostly pink with a 2 inch rim of blue above and depicts a scene of lovely flowers and leaves of blue, yellow, white and brown on front and back. The top has a rolled edge which adds strength to the lamp shade. It measures 7âe tall by 14âe in diameter.The prism and shade rings are decorated with 43, 3âe clear, u-drop prisms with top bead.The burner has been replaced with an electric adapter that looks like a gallery. It has an approximately 90âe cord, with plug and an on/off switch. It is stamped âeoeP & A, Made in USA, Thomaston, Conn.âe on the bottom, which would indicate that this electric part was manufactured after 1954. This electric part can be easily removed and the appropriate kerosene/oil burner components reinstalled with no problem. T is no extension/pulley mechanism on this lamp. CONDITION: SHADE: mint, I can find no cracks, chips, flakes, etc. FONT: one or two bubbles, some straw marks and a few small, shallow scratches; filler, filler cap and collar are in very good
