Victorian Irish Sterling & Connemara Marble Cross This is an antique Victorian Celtic cross of sterling silver inlaid with Connemara marble, a stone found only in Ireland. The cross has British hallmarks, including the rampant lion for sterling and a flower. The others are too worn to read. The Connemara marble is mottled dark olive green. The cross has engraved details around the marble stones. This is a rare and unique piece of Irish religious jewelry. The cross is about 1 1/4 inch by 5/8 inch. It is in very good condition.
