A Victorian cranberry toned hand-painted gold-stencilled cascading rippled rimmed milk glass fruit dish. An educated guess would be that this is 1860-1870 in shape and colour and has a pontil rod mark on the base. The hand painting has faded in parts but the lustre of the glass and the gold stencilling is very fresh and an extremely attractively shaped dish. Diameter of stem 1 cm. high base is 7cms.. The diameter of the concaved top is 27cms.. The approximate height from the rippled rim to base is 10cms.. An attractive piece of Victorian glass.
