This auction is for a VERY nice antique Bohemian glass perfume bottle with original stopper, from the Victorian era to early 1900's; it is ruby red-cut-to- clear crystal and heavily adorned with enamel painting in gold and white raised/thickly applied decoration in some areas to create more detail; the base of the perfume is ground glass with a star burst. The bottle is decagon shaped (ten panels) with a pinched neck and flared top opening, the sides are beveled to the base and the stopper base also has ten sides. The bottle stands roughly 6 1/2" tall with the stopper in place; it is in overall very good condition; the bottle portion has minimal finish wear, mainly around the top opening but not too bad; the base has extensive wear--scratches as are as commonly found on old glass wear that was actively used and/or moved around on a flat surface; one panel has a small nick in the ridge, barely larger than a flea bite with a very small flake a little lower on the panel, may or may not be factory flaws; no chips or cracks found; interior is dusty and the inside base has a little white evaporation residue, have not tried to clean it. There are minute flea bites on the tip of the stopper that fits inside the bottle, with some wear to the red glass and gold paint on the pointed top where it was grasped to remove from the bottle over the years. An all around outstanding example, beautifully decorated and holding up very well given it's age!
