Antique Victorian Turn of the Century Two Piece Pinstriped Diamond Pattern Cotton Gown With Sequin Lace Trim This gown dates to the Victorian turn of the century and is two piece in its construction, fashioned of a two tone pinstriped cotton with a raised diamond pattern weave running throughout. The gown is fully lined in polished cotton, bodice is boned throughout and encloses with hook and eyes up the front. The cuffs are in square cut tabs trimmed in double pipes of silk velvet. Silk velvet piping runs around the waistline and piping running around either side of the front and around the gothic cut collar with neckline and sequin and jet bead trimmed lace which encases white silk and a velvet trimmed band collar finishing. The skirting is edged in brushed binding with a flouncing ruffle around the bottom. T is some age color and small surface staining from estate storage, I personally would try to clean as aside from the staining from storage, the piece is in excellent condition with only some small color under the arms showing that it was ever worn. The size is larger, measuring 38 inches around the bust, 28 inches around the waist, and 15 inches in length, with the skirt measuring 28 inches around the waist, 40 inches in its length, and bottom sweep flowing 120 inches around.
