This auction is for a large round vintage picture/print of The Calmady Children (Emily 1818 - ?1906) and Laura Anne (1820 - 1894) by artist Sir Thomas Lawrence (English 1769 - 1830), children of Charles Calmady of Langdon Court in Devonshire. The original portrait shown at the Royal Academy done by Lawrence in 1823, has always been one of his most popular works, set in a gold gilted frame. This picture is so VICTORIAN looking, measures 33 1/2" across and 1 3/4" in depth, beautiful angelic looking faces, very detailed, one has dark brown hair and the other light brown hair, one has brown eyes, both have rosey cheeks & lips, affectionate scene, dresses in an off/white to cream color, blue sash on the oldest girl. Part of the paper backing is missing and ts writing on the frame but not able to make out what it says without tearing the paper off, picture & frame in great condition. Would look beautiful displayed in your home. I had it displayed in my bedroom. This picture would be worth the investment, you won't be disappointed. Due to the loss of my husband, mother, a total right knee replacement and gall bladder surgery, I need to sell anything I have left of some kind of value to meet my financial obligations for the month of January. This is NOT a SCAM, I DESPERATELY need your HELP and pray that you'll find it in your heart. I can't seek employment until I take care of these medical issues (government assistance) and heal.
