Up for auction this week is a very special Victorian Crochet Hook Case with a beautiful handmade lace? or tatting? cover. The wooden case measures 5 1/2 inches in length and is in good condition except for the blue color on one rim (photo). The crochet hook itself looks to be turned bone and is in excellent vintage condition and measuring at 4 1/2 inches. The beautiful original handmade lace cover is quite fragile and darkened with age. One end has some extra darkening but I don't see any holes in the lace. This will be a wonderful addition to your collection.
