A rare Victorian combined vesta case and sovereign holder made by Minshull & Lattimer and hallmarked for Birmingham 1897-98. Both the snap top lid on the vesta case and the push button mechanism on the sovereign holder lid are in good working order as is the sprung sovereign holder. There is a very minor ding to the corner of the vesta lid ( see pic. 5 ) otherwise it is in very very good overall condition. It fully hallmarked on the main body,the inside of both lids,the sovereign holder platform and the chain ring. Measures approx. 70mm x 30mm. Thank you for looking.
