Up for auction with no reserve is a fine Victorian Silver Epergne . A very ornate 4 Arm Epergne with tons of Grape Vines and Grapes from the Base to the Tip , very beautiful and extremely well made and executed . It is large and unsigned. It may be signed but because it is Fresh out of an Estate it has not been cleaned and t may yet be a makers mark that cannot been seen . It is better than my photos , so please excuse the photos , t is no way to capture it unless you see it in person ! Condition is very nice , it has no missing Silver work, no signs of it being plated or brassing , most likely silver plated and if so it is very heavy plate . The Arms need to be adjusted with the Screws under the Base, t are a bunch of them , it is a WORK of ART . I will not touch it as I am not qualified to do so , it is being sold the way I bought it out of a Grand Estate in Palm Beach . It is missing one glass holder , and I have checked several web sites and know it can be replaced. The large Center Bowl has one sliver on the inside w the hole is , it is not a distraction what so ever as it cannot be seen and it is missing the fancy medallion that holds it in place. The Glass is Cut ~ it is very Victorian or American Brilliant Cut Glass and is very showy . The fire is pronounced , it gleams ! The large Center Bowl measures approx. 12 1/2 inches in diameter and 4 inches Tall, the smaller ones measures approx. 6 inches in diameter and 1 1/4 inches deep.This large Epergne measures an impresssive 28 " tall with the Center Bowl and 24" tall without the Bowl, Width is 23 1/2 " ~approx.. Again it is fabulous and in need of a polishing and very little restoration and adjusting . See photos for the best description . A very scarce Epergne to own , display and use. Use the FREE Counters 1 million sellers do - Vendio! As per request to see this Epergne without it's decorations and glass. Please make a judgement as to what you think of it's true function , maybe it was always a Epergne, or a fancy Candleabra ?
